Aborn Statement on Confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor
Richard Aborn, candidate for Manhattan DA, today released the following statement in response to the confirmation of his former colleague, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, to the Supreme Court.
“I am delighted that my former colleague in the DA’s office, Sonia Sotomayor, has made history by being the first Latina confirmed as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States. In confirming Judge Sotomayor, the US Senate has sent to the high court an intelligent and extremely qualified judge, whose life experience and background will strengthen the Court. Justice Sotomayor has overcome hardships to live the American dream, and I am confident she will be an inspiration to every American. I congratulate her on this historic occasion.”
